Apple-flavored cult

Tags: , ,

So, my friend and I hung out at the Apple store in SoHo last night because the Apple Store is the coolest place to be at on Friday night. It is my fond wish that one day, they will serve actual drinks at the Genius Bar.
I don’t know if the Apple Store in SoHo is crowded every Friday night or if it was just because of Leopard, though I don’t think alot of people were buying Leopard. I really couldn’t handle the crowds and had to leave (after fondling the new Ipods of course). There was definitely an indoctrination and cult-like worshiping going on. It was freaking me out.
Oh and they were hanging out t-shirts:

Since it was an adult size large, it’s basically a dress for me. Also, I don’t get the slogan. Add a new Mac to your Mac? What?

After shopping, I decided to go over to White Rabbit for Gothamist House. I wanted to check out Spinto Band, who I first saw awhile back when they opened for Art Brut (funny thing, as I was walking to the venue, I swear I saw the female guitarist fro Art Brut walk past me, but since everyone walks really fast in NYC, I’m not 100% it was her). I also wanted to see Eagle*Seagull. Also, Jess dropped by White Rabbit but had to go to catch another concert uptown.

Early Weekend Soundtrack

Tags:

So, I’m taking a four-day weekend because I think I’m due for some relaxing and I’ve been getting random bouts of dizziness at work. Today I’m staying in to take care of some errands (and play some Persona 3 and/or Phoenix Wright). Tomorrow I have an orthopedist appointment (and maybe go shopping for some Fall clothes), and on Saturday I might catch a few of the free concerts that are happening because of the CMJ Music Marathon.

I’m Sorry But I’m Beginning to Hate Your Face by Eagle*Seagull

I’ve been playing these songs over and over. I really like this one line in Hologram World, that I’ve made it my bio for all Interweb profiles. It’s the Beat is just catchy and I’m Sorry … just reminds me of an ex.
I think these bands are going to be performing in the city during CMJ.

Kicking off Creative JavaScript Weekends!
I am inspired by the launch of the CreativeJS website so I’ve decided to do one or two experiments in creative uses of JavaScript either before, during, or after the weekend and blog about them here. These experiments may include some info viz, digital toys, animations, and what not. And all of it will run in current generation browsers through the use of HTML5 and Javascript. So stay tuned. (0)

Briefly addicted to Minecraft
You can tell because I spent two and half hours building a condo with floor to ceiling windows, a rooftop pool (originally going to be a lava pool), and a river running through it.

My first blog post for a major media company
In my last semester of college (2007), I was an intern for MTV’s games news (though it wasn’t MTV News, the way the company divided itself was counterintuitive) outfit. They had a blog and they would occasionally produce online video segments, that would also appear between TV shows. I had to write a post for their blog. More... (0)
