On Being 24
[In case you were wondering, that is a chocolate chip cake from Momofuku]
I had a wholesome get-together at home, with cake, Cranium, and the remake of Hairspray. I didn’t really hold a big affair this year because a) trying not to spend so much money b) didn’t have my act together. The week had been pretty stressful. I was so frazzled that I was late to my own party.
I do not feel old (maybe the feeling will hit me when I’m 25?), in face I feel a bit stagnant. My life circumstances have not changed from my last birthday, so I guess I need to shake things up a bit?

My first time snowboarding
To avoid the mushiness that is Valentines Day, I went snowboarding with my friend Tom in Vermont.
We went to Okemoe Mountain and there were TONS of kids. Which proved to be a problem because in order to avoid running into them on my snowboard, I deliberately fell to the ground and wiped out because I hadn’t learned to stop properly yet.
And I fell alot but I guess falling is a part of the learning process. I did make some progress after lessons from Tom and from Shannon, the instructor from the group lesson I took. At the end of the day, I could get up on my own with the board strapped on, balance decently, and ride the board for a good 10 yards. I just need to work on stopping and turning right.

Liveblogging LOST: Episode 3, Season 5
I jumped on the liveblogging LOST bandwagon. Wednesday was the first and last time I would do so because I’ll be starting drawing classes at SVA next Wednesday, so I can only watch LOST online, two days later (I don’t have time to watch tv on Thursday either, also because of class).
Spoilers ahead.
