Visualizing Hip-Hop: 50 Cent vs Biggie vs Nas vs Jay-Z

Using the visualization method I wrote about in the last post, I created graphs charting the discographies of 50 Cent, Biggie, Nas and Jay-Z. This time around, two kinds of readability scores were also charted (or is it visualized?), the flesch score1 and the SMOG score2. You can check out this visualization here.

Kicking off Creative JavaScript Weekends!
I am inspired by the launch of the CreativeJS website so I’ve decided to do one or two experiments in creative uses of JavaScript either before, during, or after the weekend and blog about them here. You can tell because I spent two and half hours building a condo with floor to ceiling windows, a rooftop pool (originally going to be a lava pool), and a river running through it.

My first blog post for a major media company
In my last semester of college (2007), I was an intern for MTV’s games news (though it wasn’t MTV News, the way the company divided itself was counterintuitive) outfit.
